Privacy by default: how Anonymous Mode protects you

What other people can see of you on SafeClub — and what they never can.

Sharing safety information should never cost you your privacy. So for every feature we build, we ask one question: does she need to be publicly identifiable for this to work? If the answer is no, SafeClub keeps your identity off the screen — without you having to remember to.

Anonymous Mode, everywhere

Anonymous Mode is one switch in your profile. When it's on, your name, username and profile photo are hidden on everything you contribute: posts, comments, replies and club reviews. Other sisters see Anonymous Sister, and there is no profile to click through to.

It also covers what you posted before you switched it on. And if you later turn it off, anything you posted anonymously stays anonymous.

Some things are always anonymous

Some reports are sensitive enough that we don't leave it to a setting. These are always anonymous, whatever you've chosen:

  • Anon Tips — reports that go privately to SafeClub moderators
  • Safe Map pins
  • Reports about harassment, spiking, assault or other harm
  • Anything from Night Mode

SafeClub still knows who is signed in — that's how we keep the platform safe from abuse — but other users never do.

No trail back to your door

A safety pin is attached to a public place you choose, never to your phone's location, so a report made from home can't mark your home. The location is rounded to roughly a city block and the time to the hour.

Night Mode shares only what you switch on — your club, your return time, your ride's registration — and only with the people you picked. Your outfit photo never leaves your phone.

What we never show

Ride reviews show a registration and structured flags, never a driver's name. Community reports are signals from sisters, not findings of guilt, and we don't present them as anything else.

You can read everything SafeClub can and can't do in Know Your Rights, in your profile in the app.
